Unique piece inspired by the seahorse, animals full of symbolism …
It is a piece that brings together many meanings, since it speaks of the symbolism of seahorses, they are linked since antiquity, to the gods of the sea as Poseidon, the Greek pantheon.
All my work as a designer is linked to nature and mainly to the sea.
Seahorses are also linked to values such as loyalty, fidelity and strength, because in nature they are monogamous and when one of them dies, the other dies soon after.
That is why this piece is called « the lovers », the true union between two beings.
This piece also expresses my deep admiration for the Art Nouveau movement, especially for René Lalique and his beautiful brooch called « Two Seahorses ».
« The Lovers » is a unique piece, a piece of art, made with the lost wax technique and the old fire casting method. I always mention that I use fire because electricity is currently used to make pieces with the lost wax technique, now the relationship with fire is being lost.
This piece is made with the most noble materials, 970 silver and pure gold.
